IVY Collection
The Ivy Collection is an established chain of restaurants in the United Kingdom known for its luxurious surroundings, thorough attention to detail, and varied cuisine celebrations. Every restaurant under the Ivy brand presents a fantastic image but keeps the essential values of elegance, uniqueness, and excellent service.
When we were first engaged with Ivy collection, their website lacked the functional harmony and visual prosperity that today’s users expected, especially for a high-end experience. Our mission was to modernize the stage and architect a digital experience that embodied the luxurious, spontaneous, and unforgettable.
Business Challenges
- Fragmented Booking Flow – The Ivy collection consists of several restaurants, each with its booking mechanism. This led to a dissatisfied user trip, where customers often had to navigate several pages or sub-domains to reserve a table. The discrepancies were disappointing – some places redirected users to the third-party system, while others trusted static forms, offering to offer without any response or confirmation.
- Low Mobile Usability – More than 70% of traffic on Ivy’s website originated from mobile devices, yet the existing site was not adequately adapted to the small screen. Primary functions like navigation, table booking, and menu browsing were complex to interact with on mobile. The page layouts broke, it was difficult to click the confirm button, and the forms often did not respond correctly to touch the input.
- Inconsistent Brand Experience – Ivy Collection has created a reputation for providing visually rich and emotionally attractive experiences in every physical place. However, his previous website felt generic and temporary, which failed to reflect the nuances of his brand. The imagery was old, there was a lack of elegance in typography, and the layout offered very little to separate the Ivy from common competitors.
- Difficult Menu & Event Updates – Seasonal menus, special programs, and campaigns are essential for customers to remember and repeat. However, Ivy’s internal marketing team had limited control over the website content. Even a minor update or developer intervention, such as changing dish details or uploading a new event flyer, can lead to delay and loss of speed.
- Performance Bottlenecks – The website experienced a noticeable slowdown during the peak traffic, especially on weekends and holidays when food reservations spike. The users reported an average load time of more than 5 seconds, which increased the bounce rate significantly. Image-heavy pages lacked adaptation, and the underlying hosting infrastructure was not designed to handle dynamic traffic efficiently.

Our Solutions
We contacted the redesign and development of the website of Ivy Collection with a double focus: enhancing the functionality and preserving the brilliant identity of the brand.
- Unified Reservation Experience – We have designed and implemented a custom, centralized booking engine connecting all Ivy locations with a single intuitive interface. Visitors can now browse by city or postcode, see real-time availability, and complete their reservation within a few clicks, without leaving the site. The result is a friction-free, elegant booking flow that reflects the ease of creating a conscience for a guest.
- MobileFirst Redesign – Realizing the dominance of mobile traffic, we rebuilt the front end with a mobile semi-darshan from the ground. The new UI uses a flexible grid system and dynamic elements, dynamically adapted to any screen size. Touching navigation, viscous action buttons, and simplified form ensure a spontaneous device experience.
- Immersive Brand Experience – We worked closely with the Ivy brand and design team so that they could translate their unique in-view atmosphere into a compelling online experience. The website contains curated, high-quality photography, custom meals, and animated infographics that subtly set the environment of each restaurant.
- Dynamic Content Management – We developed a modular, user-friendly CMS to suit the specific requirements of the Ivian content team. Each restaurant page is now designed using reusable blocks that can be edited independently, enabling rapid updates to the menu, promotion, and events.
- Performance & Hosting Upgrade – To ensure that the website can scale and perform under high demand, we installed it with load balanced, aging, and global CDN integration to a high-liability cloud infrastructure. All images and scripts were adapted, fonts were preloaded, and third-party plugins were fully streamlined or terminated.
